Transformative Learning Holidays for Children in Thailand
Summer & Winter Camps 2027 | Chiang Mai & Krabi
One Extraordinary Week. A World of Possibilities.
What if the most meaningful gift we could give a child wasn't another object, but an experience that stays with them for years?
A moment of courage on a mountain. The wonder of discovering life beneath the ocean. The quiet satisfaction of growing something with their own hands. The joy of making friends from the other side of the world. The discovery that they are capable of more than they imagined.
At Able Camps, we believe school holidays offer extraordinary opportunities for these moments to happen. Through nature-based summer camps, winter camps, outdoor adventures, regenerative learning, and meaningful cultural experiences, we invite children to explore the world beyond their everyday routines.
Based in Thailand, our international programs combine nature, creativity, ecological discovery, mindful social-emotional learning, and project-based experiences. Because sometimes, one meaningful week can inspire a lifetime of curiosity.
Why Childhood Holidays Can Become Transformative Experiences
Beyond Entertainment. Beyond the Classroom. Into the Living World.
Childhood is filled with moments of growth, but some experiences leave a particularly meaningful impression. The first time a child overcomes hesitation and tries something challenging. The moment they recognize that their ideas matter to a group. The discovery that a coral reef, a forest, or a garden is part of an extraordinary network of living relationships.
These moments can help children develop new perspectives about themselves and the world. During school holidays, children often have greater freedom to explore interests beyond their usual academic routines.
When these opportunities are intentionally designed around curiosity, meaningful challenges, supportive relationships, and reflection, holidays can become powerful complements to formal education.
At Able, we create environments where children are encouraged to:
-
Explore unfamiliar places with curiosity and care.
-
Practice independence and personal responsibility.
-
Develop friendships across cultures and backgrounds.
-
Discover interests through hands-on experiences.
-
Collaborate, investigate, question, and create.
-
Build awareness of their emotions and relationships.
-
Recognize connections between human well-being and the natural world.
A transformative holiday is about more than what children do. It is about what they discover along the way.
What Makes a Learning Holiday Truly Transformative?
Experiences Create Memories. Reflection Creates Meaning.
Adventure can be exciting. But meaningful learning requires something deeper than excitement alone.
Imagine a child participating in a rock-climbing experience. At first, the wall looks intimidating. The child studies the route, listens to guidance, and gradually explores different possibilities. With appropriate supervision and encouragement, they may discover that progress comes through observation, patience, communication, and adapting their approach. The experience creates an opportunity to reflect on confidence, challenges, and perseverance.
Now imagine exploring a permaculture garden. Children investigate soil, insects, microorganisms, plants, and the conditions that support growth. What begins as an activity becomes an exploration of biology, mathematics, ecology, and responsibility.
Or imagine discovering a marine ecosystem through guided snorkeling. Children observe biodiversity beneath the water and begin asking questions about coral reefs, conservation, and the relationships that sustain marine life.
The activity opens the door. Curiosity and reflection deepen the experience. This is the foundation of Able's approach to transformative learning holidays.

The Able Difference: Regenerative Experiences That Connect Mind, Heart, and Nature
An Educational Philosophy That Gives Purpose to Adventure.
Many holiday programs offer exciting activities. At Able, we also consider how an experience is designed, facilitated, and reflected upon. Our approach connects three complementary foundations:
-
Mindful Social-Emotional Learning (MSEL): Creating opportunities for self-awareness, empathy, emotional understanding, communication, and positive relationships.
-
Regenerative Project-Based Learning (RPBL): Connecting questions, creativity, and collaboration with meaningful real-world projects and ecological understanding.
-
Holistic Nature-Based Education (HNBE): Integrating outdoor exploration, movement, sensory discovery, environmental awareness, and holistic development.
Together, these foundations guide our Regenerative Experiences Framework. The goal is to create an environment where children can explore the world while developing awareness of themselves, other people, and the living systems around them.
What Does a Meaningful Five-Day Camp Look Like?
From First Discoveries to New Perspectives.
Every Able Camp has its own theme and itinerary, but our educational approach follows a broader journey.
-
Beginning With Connection: Children meet their facilitators and fellow explorers, discover shared agreements, and begin developing relationships with their group.
-
Exploring With Curiosity: Nature-based activities invite observation, questions, movement, and discovery.Children begin connecting experiences with ideas and prior knowledge.
-
Creating and Collaborating: Group challenges and projects provide opportunities to communicate, solve problems, experiment, and contribute to shared goals.
-
Reflecting and Understanding: Through conversations, creative expression, and mindful reflection, children revisit their discoveries, experiences, and relationships.
-
Celebrating Growth: The journey creates space to recognize meaningful moments, appreciate contributions, and consider how new insights can be carried into everyday life.
This is an illustration of Able's educational approach, rather than a fixed daily itinerary. Each camp has its own activities and schedule. What matters most is the opportunity for children to discover something meaningful about the world and their place within it.
Raising Curious, Capable Humans in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
The Future Needs More Than Answers.
We are entering an era in which artificial intelligence is transforming how information is discovered, knowledge is created, and problems are approached. Children growing up today will have access to tools of extraordinary capability.
Yet some of the qualities that matter deeply to human life are developed through direct experiences, meaningful relationships, and thoughtful engagement with the world:
-
Curiosity.
-
Critical thinking.
-
Creativity.
-
Emotional awareness.
-
Adaptability.
-
Collaboration.
-
Ecological understanding.
-
The ability to ask meaningful questions.
At Able, we believe these qualities deserve intentional attention. Our vision brings technology and nature into a complementary relationship. Children can explore ecosystems and algorithms. They can investigate scientific questions and develop emotional awareness. They can use intelligent tools while remaining connected with the physical world, their communities, and the environment.
The future belongs to generations capable of combining technological understanding with human wisdom, creativity, and responsibility. Transformative learning holidays offer opportunities to cultivate these qualities through real experiences.
International Friendships and Global Citizenship
Different Cultures. Shared Adventures. Meaningful Connections.
One of the most rewarding dimensions of international holiday camps is the opportunity for children to encounter different cultures and perspectives. Able welcomes families from diverse backgrounds into English-speaking group experiences.
Children have opportunities to communicate across differences, collaborate on shared projects, and learn from one another. A friendship formed during a forest exploration. A group working together to solve a challenge. A shared discovery that brings children closer. These everyday moments can support intercultural understanding, empathy, and a growing awareness of our shared humanity.
We believe global citizenship begins with meaningful human relationships.
School Field Trips & Educational Study Tours in Thailand
Transformative Experiences Beyond the School Holidays.
The same principles that guide Able Camps can also inform school field trips, outdoor education programs, and customized educational study tours. Schools and learning communities interested in Thailand can explore experiences connecting curriculum themes with real-world environments.
Possible areas include environmental science, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, marine ecology, cultural discovery, and collaborative project-based learning. Programs can be developed around the objectives, age groups, locations, and practical needs of participating schools.
For international schools, educators, and learning organizations, Thailand offers an extraordinary environment for experiential education and intercultural discovery.
Our Educational Roots, Experience & Recognition
A Philosophy Informed by Real Projects and Years of Exploration.
Able's approach grows from experience connecting nature, regenerative practices, project-based learning, and human development. Our founder, Gui Brotto, is a National Geographic Certified Educator whose interdisciplinary interests include mathematics, nature-based learning, creative communication, and permaculture.
The educational initiative My Little Garden, developed through The Little Urban Farm, was selected for the HundrED Global Collection 2022. This recognition relates specifically to My Little Garden and reflects earlier work connecting nature, food growing, project-based learning, and human development.
Able's published Impact Report documents ecological and educational activity associated with its historical soil-centered initiative. These experiences help inform the principles behind our current regenerative approach. We believe educational innovation becomes more meaningful when ideas are connected with real practice, documented experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
