Inclusion at Able: An International, Nature-Based Camp for Children

Where children from many countries, languages, and smiles meet

Parents, we see you.

We see the complexity of raising a child in the present moment.

The pressure — from family, from society, from media.

This pressure is not new.

It has always existed.

But today, it feels different.

We live in a world where devices speak to us, think for us, organize our lives, and sometimes quietly replace what used to be felt, touched, and lived.

Some tools help us search.

Others help us think.

Some families already have machines cooking their meals.

You may even have a coffee machine that prepares your cappuccino exactly the way you like it — almond milk, a pinch of cinnamon, ready at the time you choose.

And yet, one truth remains unchanged:

We are nature.

No matter how advanced the world becomes, we cannot afford to lose our connection with ourselves — or with one another.

Why Able Camps exist

Able Camps were created to reconnect children — and families — with what is essential.

Not by rejecting the modern world,

but by grounding ourselves within it.

Able Camps are inclusive, international, nature-based camps for children, designed for families from many countries, cultures, and life paths. Our camps bring together local families, expat families, and traveling families who are looking for meaningful, transformative experiences rooted in nature, empathy, and human connection.

At Able Camps, children reconnect:

  • physically, through movement and exploration

  • emotionally, through shared experiences and challenges

  • intellectually, through curiosity and reflection

They do this together.

Children from many different countries, languages, and smiles meet in the same place — and something simple happens:

They connect.

Not because they speak the same language.

But because they share the same human experiences.

Standing in front of a waterfall.

Smelling the lush scent of the jungle.

Swimming in the ocean.

Building, climbing, resting, laughing — side by side.

How empathy is developed — naturally

We don’t teach empathy as a lesson.

We create the conditions where empathy emerges.

When children navigate nature together, language becomes secondary.

When they face small challenges together, comparison fades.

When they share meals, silence, effort, and joy, understanding grows.

At Able Camps:

  • differences are not explained — they are lived

  • diversity is not highlighted — it is normal

  • belonging is not assumed — it is carefully held

This is how empathy forms:

through experience, not instruction.

This is why many parents describe Able as more than a camp —

but as a space where children learn how to be with others.

Language is not the barrier we think it is

Many parents ask us:

“What if my child doesn’t speak fluent English?”

What we’ve learned, year after year, is that language is rarely the real barrier.

Children communicate through play.

Through curiosity.

Through shared wonder.

Nature becomes the common language.

That is why Able Camps are shaped around the Four Elements and the Five Senses — experiences that awaken the body, the senses, and the mind in a grounded and human way.

This approach allows children from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds to connect naturally, without pressure or performance.

A truly international kids camp — with care

Able Camps intentionally welcome children from many parts of the world.

Each season, children from different countries come together, making Able a truly international kids camp where empathy and belonging grow naturally.

Not to label them.

Not to separate them.

But to allow them to grow together.

Children are not asked to represent a country.

They are invited to be themselves.

Parents often tell us that this is one of the most meaningful aspects of the experience — seeing their child build friendships beyond borders, naturally and without effort.

Inclusion is a conversation, not a label

If the price of our camps feels like a barrier, we invite you to talk to us.

Inclusion, for us, is not a slogan.

It is a conversation.

Sometimes inclusion looks like:

  • adjusted pricing

  • country-based considerations

  • family or sibling support

  • or simply finding the right moment to join

Each situation is different.

Each child matters.

If your child comes from a background, culture, or country that is often underrepresented, we genuinely want to hear from you.

Able is a global family —

a group of children learning to see the planet, see one another, and grow with respect and care.

For parents raising global citizens

Many parents today are raising children across borders:

  • children with multiple passports

  • children living outside their “home” country

  • children growing up between cultures and languages

Able Camps offer a safe, human space where this diversity feels natural — not highlighted, not separated, not explained away.

Here, children don’t just learn about the world.

They experience what it feels like to belong within it.

Let’s connect

If this speaks to you —

if you feel your child would benefit from an inclusive, international, nature-based camp experience rooted in empathy and presence — we invite you to reach out.

This page is not a formality.

It is an open door.
